[MEET THE CHOREOGRAPHERS] Austyn: "Hello! My name is Austyn, and I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai‘i where I went to school at 'Iolani. I'm a recent Stanford grad who studied Psychology and now works at a brain health innovation startup in Mountain View called Mindstrong as a Customer Care Representative. Growing up, I mostly spent my free time singing in choir, barbershop a cappella, and musical theatre, but towards the end of high school, I wanted to get more involved in dance because of K-pop. I enjoyed developing my style from imitating the K-pop idols I adored to one that I think is fun, groovy, high energy, and all about performance. I recently joined Str8jacket in January, and have fallen in love with the community I have found here! I have previously danced with XTRM Stanford K-pop, Stanford Dv8, HD Crew, Glitter and Magic, and Common Origins at Stanford. I feel so honored to be sharing the Week 5 workshop slot with Robert and Crystal, and I'm excited to see everyone come through!"
