Jazzrock Dance is a style of dance that started in the late 1970s, mainly in Paris, France. It combines jazz, rock, funk, and soul music with unique footwork and movements. The focus is on being smooth, impactful, and having a good sense of rhythm. Jazzrock Dance includes lively footwork like quick steps, slides, spins, and jumps. It also uses hip movements and body isolations to create visually appealing and expressive dance moves.
Jazzrock Dance is known for its energetic and stylish fusion of different dance styles and music genres. It incorporates elements from tap dance, Afro, juggling, salsa, and a dance from Martinique called Bèlè.
The dance style heavily relies on the hips, feet, body balance, and rhythm, and involves a lot of floor contact. It's a cool and classy dance style with a gentlemanly touch.
