PRESIDIO PICNIC 2019

A national park picnic celebrating the diversity of the San Francisco Bay Area with food and dance!

Every Sunday: March 31 through October
11 am to 4 pm on the Presidio's Main Parade Ground
Get to the Presidio on the free PresidiGo Downtown Shuttle, Public Transit, or bike (free bike valet)

Grab a blanket and head to your national park for Presidio Picnic! This great family event takes place on the Presidioโ€™s beautiful Main Parade Ground, a seven-acre lawn with views of the park, the city, and San Francisco Bay. Presidio Picnic features:

  • A rotating lineup of 30+ international mobile food creators representing the best of San Franciscoโ€™s multicultural food scene, curated by Off the Grid.

  • Free Yoga class from CorePower Yoga every Sunday from 11 am to Noon

  • Free Presidio Y Bike โ€œlearn-to-rideโ€ lessons for kids every 1st Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm. Bicycles and helmets are provided.

  • Free cultural dance performances every 3rd Sunday at Noon and 2 pm.โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹



Founded in 2012, Str8jacket is a dance company based out of the Bay Area promoting creativity, grit, and growth. They aim to develop economic, social, and philosophical change within and for their community. Str8jacket believes every person should be able to grow as a dancer. They work to remove potential barriers to improvement by being a no audition, low tuition, and growth focused dance team.

Krazy 8 is Str8jacketโ€™s youth dance performance team. Based in San Mateo, Krazy8 values hard work and integrity. They began as an experimental junior team under the studio CY Danceworks, and now they are making strides in establishing their own name in the dance community. Krazy8 supports Str8jacket's mission in preserving the HipHop dance culture in the Bay Area. They train in fundamental styles including waacking, locking, bboying, popping, and housing.
