AfroRooted and Make History presents...

An intimate conversation and connection off the dance floor.

As practitioners within Hip Hop/ street dance culture, we will be discussing topics highlighting different layers within this now global movement we live in today. Featuring an all black panel of local and international dance practitioners, we will be guided throughout evening discussing subjects such as:

Defining blackness.
Understanding the the different cultural demographics in Hip Hop from the past to it's current state.
Acknowledging and paying homage to the traditional movements within the African diaspora prior to the birth of Hip Hop and the importance of knowing your history and roots.

As AfroRooted and Make History are throwing their community events here in the Bay Area, we felt it was a necessity in having a dialogue to continue doing the work in moving forward to also foster social change and impact.

Join us this evening! Let's connect. Let's exchange. Let's discuss and continue the dialogue off the dance floor.
